The Beatles won’t be on iTunes this ChristmasIt looks like you won’t be able to buy The Beatles music on iTunes this holiday season, which threatens to take a bite out of Apple revenue for the all important holiday quarter.

Talks between Apple and The Beatles’ record label Apple Corps Ltd. have “stalled” according to Beatles guitarist Sir Paul McCartney speaking at the launch of his new album Electric Arguments.

According to the BBC, EMI still owns the rights to the Beatles catalog and must come to an agreement with Apple Corps before the tracks can be distributed digitally.

“EMI want something we’re not prepared to give ‘em. It’s between EMI and The Beatles I think - what else is new?,” McCartney said. “Last word I got back was it’s stalled at the moment. But I really hope it will happen because I think it should.”
