Some people have a lot of time on their hands, and Eddie Zarick is one of them.

The difference is that Eddie puts his spare time to good use — hacking MacBooks. His latest endeavor involves installing an LCD monitor behind the Apple logo on his MacBook which he’s described in copious detail on his blog. The whole thing costs about $210 in materials, but as every good modder knows, it’s the labor that kills you.

For the impatient, you can simply buy his modded MacBook on eBay (where else?) for the low, low price of $1,500. Pictures don’t do it justice, you’ve really got to watch the video. This is one of the coolest MacBook mods that I’ve ever seen.
