Skype for iPhone tops 1M downloads in two days

Skype for iPhone has set a new high water mark for a blockbuster application on the App Store topping 1M downloads in less than two full days. Skype currently sits atop Apple’s Top Free Apps list and has over 7,500 reviews. Apple doesn’t release app download numbers the public.

In a blog post Skype’s Peter Parkes teases “We’ll be back next week with an update.” Let’s start speculating about what that means…
