PearC launches new line of Mac clones

PearC Starter StylenceSeemingly undeterred by Apple’s legal stand against Miami-based Psystar, German clone-maker PearC has launched a new line of Mac clones called “Stylence.“

The new “Macs” come in two configurations ranging in price from 729,00€ to 929,00€ (US$977 to US$1,245) and come with Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6 pre-installed. Optionally you can order Stylence clones with Apple’s Mac Box Set which includes Mac OS X (Leopard) + iLife ‘09 + iWork ‘09 for an additional €49,99 (US$67).

In other news, Amazon is selling the Mac Box Set for only $135, which is like getting iLife and iWork for $6.

There is no invalidation of OEM license if you change your MOBO/PC. People are already selling OEM versions just like a retail version here in Europe and Microsoft has lost a case concerning the OEM v... (Read the rest)
