Thieves stalking/robbing Apple customers in Boca Raton

The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that Police are investigating five cases in the past three months where people bought computers at the Apple Store at the Town Center mall in Boca Raton, then later found their cars broken into and their purchases stolen.
The scam involves following a customer carrying a large bag or box from the Apple store, then breaking into their vehicle after the computer has been left unattended. Sometimes the break-in occurs when the victim went back into the mall to finish shopping and other times the perp(s) would follow the victim’s car to their next shopping destination and wait for them to leave the car.
Boca police spokeswoman Sandra Boonenberg said that “they are all similar scenarios” and thinks that the cases are related.
Maybe Apple should switch to bags that say “Walmart” on them?
