Steve Jobs' liver transplant

The Wall Street Journal is reporting in its Saturday editions that Apple CEO Steve Jobs received a liver transplant in Tennessee about two months ago.
Jobs has been on medical leave from Apple since January to treat an undisclosed medical condition believed to be related to his pancreatic cancer. The 54-year-old Jobs disclosed in August 2004 that he had been treated for a form of pancreatic cancer.
An AP story adds:
The Journal said in Saturday’s editions that the type of cancer Jobs had can metastasize in other organs, according to William Hawkins, a doctor specializing in pancreatic and gastrointestinal surgery at Washington University in St. Louis.
WSJ states that Jobs has been recovering well and that he is expected to return to Apple on schedule later this month, adding that he may work part-time initially.
