Cisco LogoAs time elapsed on Apple's deadline to respond to Cisco's trademark lawsuit over use of the word "iPhone" Apple requested and was granted an extension.

ZDNet blogger Ed Burnette got this quote from Cisco:

Apple has asked Cisco for another extension on the deadline for Apple to respond to our lawsuit. Cisco has agreed to give Apple an extension until Wednesday, Feb. 21. Cisco is fully committed to using the extra time to reach a mutually beneficial resolution.

The extension is only five days - three if you're counting business days - so you can guess what Apple legal is doing this weekend.

Can't we all just get along
