Snow Leopard to ship by August 28?
Yesterday the Snow Leopard (a.k.a. Mac OS 10.6) product page on Apple’s UK online store listed the ship date as “by August 28th” leading to speculation that Apple’s next-generation OS could be on the prowl as soon as next Friday.

The August 28 date also briefly appeared on Apple’s online stores in the U.S. and Canada but has since been changed to simply “September.”
The part number was previously leaked as MC209Z/A.
Snow Leopard will sell for $29 for Leopard owners ($49 for a family pack). If you purchased a qualifying Mac after June 8, 2009 with Leopard installed you can get a copy of Snow Leopard for a shipping and handling fee of $9.95 plus tax via Apple’s Mac OS X Snow Leopard Up-to-Date Program.
The Up-To-Date part number is MC204Z/A.
