Rumor: iPhone Delayed
As if it wasn't bad enough that Mac OS 10.5 Leopard was delayed by four months, now there are rumblings that iPhone may be delayed due to battery issues. Apple shouldn't be able to blame iPhone software for the delay as they they just moved all of their OS X developers to iPhone.
Smarthouse reports the iPhone may be delayed by "quality problems." Apparently Taiwanese manufacturer Han Hai (aka Foxconn) is concerned about iPhone's battery and talk time and question whether Apple will meet its June launch date.
…the designs Apple have delivered for manufacturing are not robust enough and that the Apple software functions built into the phone are sucking juice out of the batteries to the extent that talk time is significantly compromised.
Is it a big deal if both Leopard and iPhone are significantly delayed? Did Apple take iPhone engineers to move them over to the monitors group?
