Apple updates MacBook with faster processors (updated)

MacBook May 2007

It wasn’t the MacBook Pro update we were hoping for but Apple today announced new MacBooks that feature faster Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory, 802.11n wireless networking and larger hard drives in every model.

The new configurations are now available from the Apple store:

- 2.00GHz, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, Combo, 802.11n, US$1,099 (White)
- 2.16GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, 8x SuperDrive, 802.11n, US$1,299 (White)
- 2.16GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 8x SuperDrive, 802.11n, US$1,499 (Black)

The new models replace the previous models (prices remain the same):

- 1.83GHz, 512MB, 60GB HDD, Combo, 802.11g (White)
- 2.00GHz, 1GB, 80GB HDD, 6x SuperDrive, 802.11g (White)
- 2.00GHz, 1GB, 120GB HDD, 6x SuperDrive, 802.11g (Black)
