Dot Mac update possible tomorrow

When you log into your account on Dot Mac (www.mac.com) the above status message is neatly tucked away in the lower portion of the left (grey) nav bar. Go ahead and check, I’ll wait…

“Due to scheduled maintenance, .Mac members might be intermittently unable to access some
.Mac services from 10 AM to 12 PM PDT on 08/07/2007. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

To which PowerPage commenter Brian observed:

Who schedules maintenance on a production service in the middle of the day? Perhaps there will be something new with .Mac tomorrow afternoon?

The timing does seem a tad suspicious, no?
