Steve's Mea Culpa: $100 credit to iPhone pioneers

Ben Franklin $100 BillIn a startling reverse of position Apple CEO Steve Jobs stated that Apple would offer a US$100 store credit at the Apple store to everyone who purchased an iPhone either from Apple or AT&T “who is not receiving a rebate or any other consideration.”

The move comes after telling USAToday earlier today that “If they bought (iPhone) a month ago, well, that’s what happens in technology.”

Jobs’ statement, posted in an open letter to all iPhone customers, comes after a torrent of stinging criticism from Apple faithful who purchased the expensive gadget and felt like they were being “fleeced” by the Cupertino computer giant.

Being one of the more vocal critics I think that Apple is doing the right thing by their customers and should be commended for doing so.
