Bloggers compare browser stats
Jason Kottke, a blogger who recently ditched his day job to post full-time, did a quick calculation to see what browsers people are using to visit his site. This prompted a stream of comments from other bloggers who shared their own results. One quick look down the list and you’ll see how considerably different the figures stack up as compared to a typical site on the web. As expected, the volume of Firefox traction in the weblog community does away with the IE 90%/Firefox 5% norm.
Kottke.org browser stats:
Mozilla: 45%
IE: 31%
Everything else: 24%
Update: As an interesting counterpoint, Firefox has seen its U.S. growth rate for actual usage fall by nearly half since its debut, according to recent data from WebSideStory, as News.com reports.
