HP CEO Mark Hurd’s total compensation for 2009 totaled $42.5 million.

According to an HP’s proxy filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Hurd had $1.45 million in salary, a bonus of $5.34 million and various stock awards and equity plans to hit the $42.5 million mark. In 2007, Hurd’s total compensation was $25.3 million.

Hurd wasn’t the only one that had a good year along with HP. CIO Randall Mott’s total compensation for 2008 was $28.3 million, up from $7.4 million in 2007. In fact, Vyomesh Joshi, who runs HP’s printing group; Todd Bradley, who runs the personal system group; and Ann Livermore, the company’s services chief all made more than $20 million. Only CFO Catherine Lesjak fell short–she made $5.5 million in total compensation in 2008.

The other item worth noting is the breakdown of “all other” compensation. These are essentially perks and add-ons to compensation. Hurd’s all other compensation was $738,392 and included the following:

  • $71,482 in relocation expenses, down from $111,082 in 2007;
  • $255,872 in security services and systems, up from $125,825;
  • $135,734 in personal aircraft usage, up from $52,906;
  • And $18,000 in financial counseling.
