The blogging and wiki world continues to get more corporate. Socialtext recently added new features to its enterprise appliance and hosted service, including enterprise-class monitoring, backup, directory integration, improved e-mail integration and security features. Customers include investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Nokia and Kodak. SilkRoad Technology recently added audio and video blogging to its subscription-based, software-as-a-service collaboration suite. Startup JotSpot introduced this week an enterprise appliance for its wiki platform, which also includes pre-packaged wiki applications, such as project management and recruiting tools. The Gilbane Report has a good overview of blog and wiki technology in an enterprise context.

Note: I will be on a panel talking about enterprise blogs, wikis and RSS with Socialtext CEO Ross Mayfield, SilkRoad CTO Peter Quintas, and JotSpot CEO Joe Kraus at the Gilbane Conference on Content Management Technologies in San Francisco on April 13.
