3Tera releases AppLogic 2.4, its cloud computing platform
3Tera said Tuesday released the latest version of its AppLogic cloud computing platform and added Microsoft Windows and Sun Solaris support.
3Tera is a cloud computing player that operates behind the scenes relative to the big vendors such as IBM, HP and Amazon. But 3Tera has been out in front of the move to provide a platform that allows the various clouds–HP, IBM, Google, Amazon etc.–to co-mingle.
With the release of AppLogic 2.4, 3Tera’s platform supports Linux, Sun Solaris and Open Solaris and Windows Server in 32- and 64-bit formats.
Among AppLogic 2.4’s other improvements:
- System dashboards added;
- Templates;
- Appliance kits to add new devices;
- And architecture aware monitoring.
