The National Museum of Computing’s PC Gallery in London recently opened and Nick Heath of sister site Silicon.com was on scene to relay the evolution of the computer.

Here are a few favorites from the gallery:

A Mac portable. In 1989 this would have run you $6,500. It was loaded with a 16 Mhz processor and 1MB of memory.

There’s the Sinclair ZX81This 1981 gem only ran you $100, but with a 3.25Mhz processor and 1KB of memory it was hard to justify a higher price.

And the Oric-1 and Oric Atmos from Tangerine Computer Systems. This PC was launched in 1983 with a 1Mhz processor and up to 48KB of memory.
