Enterprises and employees have iPhone disconnect
Almost half of the 400 decision makers surveyed by ZDNet UK revealed that they have no plans to deploy Apple’s iPhone at their companies, but they don’t have much of a choice: Employees are bringing the iPhone to work anyway.
Welcome to the great iPhone disconnect. As Rupert Goodwins writes:
Enterprise IT regularly ignores the fact that tools which encourage use are more effective than those which inspire despair.
ZDNet UK’s special report on smartphones looks at Windows Mobile and the evolution of the devices, but the iPhone disconnect stands out.
To wit:

Why? The iPhone is too expensive.

One way around that price conundrum: Have your employees foot the bill.

And guess what device consumers are bringing to work?

Add it up and IT departments will all support the iPhone and deploy it—indirectly.
