Motorola's Ed Zander unplugged
After nearly two years at the helm at 75-year-old Motorola, Ed Zander is feeling pretty good. The company has grown its share of the handset/mobile device market, garnered attention for its slick Razr phone and Rokr iTunes phone, and its enterprise business is thriving. Michael Singer of news.com and I interviewed [podcast] Zander about the new mobile devices (he came armed with the collection of the newest mobile devices pictured below), his challenges in making Motorola more agile, his notion of seamless mobility, the potential of WiMax, being a Sun customer, dealing with disasters like Katrina and Rita and more.
