Blogging from MIT's Emerging Technology Conference

kresgeauditorium250.jpg Equipped with my WiFi-enabled notebook computer, an extension cord (for power) and my Nikon D70 digital SLR camera, I’m at MIT’s Emerging Technology Conference today (pictured right, MIT’s Kresge Auditorium, the location of the event).  I’ve already "Photoshopped" about 16 photographs that are currently being uploaded to ZDNet’s online photo gallery of the event and more are on the way.  Stay tuned for some blogs as well.  I’ve got one underway regarding a fascinating project that MIT Media Labs director Nicholas Negroponte  is heading up called One Laptop Per Child (OLPC).   The idea is to produce a $100 laptop.  Going into Negroponte’s presentation, I was skeptical.  I’m not anymore.  Stay tuned.
