Palm re-enables iTunes sync for Pre. Take that, Apple.

In a “Take that, Apple” kind of move, Palm has fixed the fix that Apple made to block the Palm Pre smartphone from synchronizing with iTunes. Did you catch all that? Confusing, I know.
Bottom line: The Palm Pre once again syncs with iTunes - for now.
You may recall that the one of the selling features of the Palm Pre when it launched was its ability to synchronize with the iTunes software. But Apple waved its no-no finger about the access and promised to counter it - and did, with a software update to iTunes last week.
Now, Palm has come back with an update to its mobile OS that is really more about some enhancements to make it friendlier to business customers, including additional support for Exchange ActiveSync, such as remote wipe, PIN/password requirements, inactivity timeout, improved certificate handling and so on.
But down at the bottom of Palm’s blog post is the Applesauce of the announcement:
Oh, and one more thing: Palm webOS 1.1 re-enables Palm media sync. That’s right — you once again can have seamless access to your music, photos and videos from the current version of iTunes (8.2.1).
