John Doerr: Web still in pre-adolescence
At the TechNet Innovation Summit in San Jose I talked to John Doerr, the legendary venture capitalist (Netscape, Amazon, Google, etc.) from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, about what Web 2.0 means to him. His take is user-generated content and a targeted advertising business model will define the next generation Web. In addition, this next phase is a period of intense innovation, and Web products and services will be more affordable, personalized and user expectations will be are higher.
