U.S. CTO Aneesh Chopra: Submit questions and watch him on BOL
The U.S. federal government’s CTO Aneesh Chopra will appear on CNET’s Buzz Out Loud (both CNET and ZDNet are part of CBS) on Tuesday, August 4 at 1:00 PM Eastern / 10:00 AM Pacific. Buzz Out Loud host Tom Merritt has opened the door for the tech community to submit questions for Chopra.
Chopra is America’s first Chief Technology Officer. He was appointed by President Barack Obama in April and tasked with driving U.S. technology policies on critical issues such as national broadband expansion and cybersecurity. His job is different than that of Federal CIO Vivek Kundra, who is leading the internal IT strategy for the government itself.
When he made the appointment, Obama said, “Aneesh will promote technological innovation to help achieve our most urgent priorities - from creating jobs and reducing health care costs to keeping our nation secure.”
You can listen to Chopra’s 30-minute interview on the live stream of Buzz Out Loud at live.cnet.com, or you can download the podcast afterward from bol.cnet.com, or subscribe via iTunes.
To submit a question for Chopra, go to Merritt’s blog post on CNET and add your question in the comments.
