Steve Gillmor speculates on the impact of Adam Bosworth’s sudden exit from BEA and employment at pre-IPO Google. According to Steve, Bosworth’s move puts pressure BEA to "complete the work of open-sourcing the Alchemy framework as planned. As with the earlier Beehive contribution, Alchemy’s intelligent caching framework was meant to seed developer confidence in BEA’s architecture."

Steve also views Google benefiting from Bosworth’s previous work by integrating RSS with Gmail and bridging the desktop and mobile spaces with Alchemy. Should Microsoft be afraid?
