Sergey Brin: Use of Google Apps could shape tech policy [video]
I had the opportunity to chat with Google co-founder Sergey Brin this morning after the press conference to announce a federal cloud computing initiative. Sergey stood among a group of us as exec Matthew Glotzbach talked about the company’s plans for a dedicated cloud for government. Afterward, Sergey fielded some questions. So out came the FlipCam for Sergey’s thoughts - in his own words.
One interesting takeaway: Brin said that he’s excited to have policy makers in Washington use Google Apps. If they use it, they understand it. If they understand it, they’re more likely to cast more informed votes around tech policy.
