The “Gone Google” campaign, which includes those billboards about reasons business customers have abandoned traditional software and made the switch to Google Apps, is heading overseas. The campaign, which was initially launched in the U.S. only, will be launching in other countries, including the U.K., France, Canada, Japan, Australia and Singapore.

As part of the news, announced in a blog post, the company also announced that the enterprise business is growing and now is used by 2 million businesses and 20 million active users. New customers include the 20,000 users in Motorola’s handset division, 7,000 users at Konica Minolta and 35,000 customers at Rentokil Initial, a business services company. In its blog post, the company wrote:

Since we first asked for your “gone Google” stories in August, we’ve seen thousands of tweets and hundreds of comments explaining how and why your company decided to go Google with Apps, as well as with other Google enterprise products such as Google Postini Services and the Google Search Appliance. Jeffrey D. from Ottawa, Canada told us that with Apps, he “was able to set up a new business in minutes with email, calendar, docs, and sync with [his] BlackBerry.” @happymacs from San Diego, CA tweeted how they liked the ability to “search every single email received in the past 2.5 years in under 2 seconds”

The company, known for its YouTube videos to accompany announcements, also released a video to promote the campaign. Check it out here.
