The blogosphere's growing mismatch
Technorati’s Dave Sifry published the latest blogosphere stats based on his logs. The blogsphere is growing like a weed, over 86,000 blogs per day on average, according to Technorati data. However, the mechanisms to aggregate and filter the blogosphere are not doubling in improvements every six months–not even close. It’s the classic technology mismatch, similar to when processor improvement far outpaced improvements in software to take advantage of the additional cycles.
