Michael Kanellos of news.com is in Israel checking out some of the local technology companies this week. He snapped several photos while attending the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor’s Security Israel, which showcases the latest in security equipment. It’s not the usual kind of security equipment, such as anti-virus software and intrusion detection appliances.

The products included a doorjamb that can remove a steel door in about three seconds; a "jammer" that blocks VHF, UHF, satellite phones, cellular and radio signals; a combination music system and emergency/fire alarm system; a thermal camera that picks up heat signals and forms a picture, used for night patrols, and a hotel safe that’s opened with a fingerprint reader (below); and an unmanned aerial vehicle that weighs 40 kilograms and flies at 3000 feet.
