History repeats itself: Nokia plucks Coke exec

According to a report from Silicon.com’s Ron Coates, Finland-based Nokia has hired former Coca-Cola vice president of global brands Keith Pardy to help the company regain lost marketshare.   The last time a technology company (Apple) hired a senior soft drink executive (former Pepsi CEO John Sculley), the company eventually entered a precipitous decline from which it almost didn’t recover.  Will history repeat itself?
