Craigslist debate rages on
Apparently having Craigslist take advertising to save the world isn't such a hot idea. Of course that hasn't stopped the debate, which has run almost a full week now and flared up again today. See roundup on Techmeme.
As posted on Between the Lines Dec. 7 Craiglist CEO Jim Buckmaster wants no part of text advertising–even if the proceeds could be used for charity. The caveat: Text ads would be allowed if users wanted them. More than 500 folks voted in our unscientific poll on ZDNet and 70 percent said the text ad for charity idea doesn't work.
For those of you keeping score at home reaction to Buckmaster's take seems to be mixed.
