PeopleSoft's last hurrah?
When PeopleSoft’s CEO Craig Conway speaks to thousands of customers tomorrow at the company’s annual customer event, he will try to convince them that the barbarians are not at the gate. Following a federal judge’s ruling in favor of Oracle’s proposed $7.7 billion buyout of PeopleSoft, Conway is in a tough spot. It’s unlikely that PeopleSoft will be able to stay out of the clutches of Oracle, which presents many issues for the company’s customer base.
