D5: The schwag
The D conference is well known for its schwag…like the Oscars of the tech world, except no awards are given. You get the goods just for showing up. The bag and jackets are nice, but the top item is the YouTube tube socks. Completely useless. The cookbook from Time Warner, on the other hand, will be useful. It’s surprising how many pounds of paper were part of the package. Not exactly digital.
