guyRecommended reading: Guy Kawasaki, a former Apple Computer (Macintosh) evangelist and founder/managing director of Garage Technology Ventures talks to me about his latest book, The Art of the Start: The Time-tested, Battle-hardened Guide For Anyone Starting Anything. Unlike many popular books giving advice on how to start or run a business in this complex economic environment, Kawasaki’s book is insightful, entertaining and actually contains a few hundred pages, rather than a few paragraphs, of wisdom. In my interview, Kawasaki explains his start-up formula and talks about avoiding hallucinatory forecasts, establishing a culture of execution, raising capital, hiring "infected" people, the art of branding, and fostering community.
