NBC Universal finds new home on Amazon's Unbox
Apple’s loss is Amazon’s gain.
NBC Universal and Amazon said Tuesday that NBC’s TV shows will be available on Amazon’s Unbox service.
The news comes days after NBC Universal and Apple ended an agreement to sell TV shows through iTunes.
Amazon will offer a variety of NBC content packages including 30 percent off on purchases of full seasons.
In a statement the companies said:
Beginning on September 10, Amazon Unbox customers can download for free — in advance of their network premieres — the pilot episodes of NBC’s new shows Bionic Woman, Chuck, Journeyman and Life. New episodes will be available on Amazon Unbox the day after they air on TV.
