Google added Jaiku, a Twitter-like activity stream service, to its communications stack. Jaiku, Ltd. was developed by a Finnish pair, Jyri Engeström (at left) and Petteri Koponen and was released in July 2006. Terms were not disclosed. Twitter and Pownce are likely to be next now that Google has chosen to go with Jaiku.
