Cozimo debuted a real-time, Web-based collaboration service for creative projects. “Cozimo combines real time image and video collaboration, notifications, a presenter mode to lead discussions and it’s wrapped into a content management system to organize projects online,” said Joshua Rosen, CEO of the company, during a demo of the product at Demo 08. It’s a well designed application that doesn’t require any download.

Cozimo includes tools for annotating and drawing on images and for chatting with collaborators in an online session. For videos, users can pause on frames to annotate or add comments. Cozimo presenter mode allows one person to control navigation so that collaborators are in synch. A personal page for each user provides a summary recent file activity and messages from projects.

Roles, such as internal or external contributor, can be applied that set access privileges to projects. Cozimo is free for up to five projects and from $29 to $149 per user per month depending on the number of projects and amount of storage, Rosen said. Cozimo will compete with services such as ConceptShare and Octopz.
