EIC podcast: Microhoo, Vista; Macs; Web 2.0 Expo
In this week’s EIC squared podcast Dan and I talk about the looming Microhoo proxy war deadline and recap the week’s back and forth between Yahoo and Microsoft.
Meanwhile, Microsoft detailed its March quarter and the big takeaways were that client revenue didn’t live up to expectations, piracy was an issue and CFO Christopher Liddell said Yahoo was unrealistic about its valuation.
Apple also reported earnings this week and delivered another strong quarter, shipping 2.29 million Macs. Is it possible that those Macs are hampering Vista sales?
And finally Dan recaps all that was Web 2.0 Expo this week. Yahoo outlined plans to be more open and friendly. Microsoft unveiled Live Mesh. And talk about the Web 2.0 economy was everywhere.
