Adobe has posted the betas of its Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Soundbooth applications on Adobe Labs.

adbebetas.pngOn Tuesday, the company (all resources) announced the public beta of the trio (statement). Once downloaded and launched, the betas will be active for 48 hours. Only Creative Suite 3 customers will be able to use the betas until the next release of Adobe’s flagship suite.

By the betas, which are available at Adobe Labs:

  • The Web developer Dreamweaver beta includes a related files toolbar and code navigator feature to delve into HTML files, links to JavaScript documents and integrated XML data. There’s also a “live view mode,” which is based on the open source Webkit rendering engine and allows users to view the page without previewing in a separate browser window (see beta notes).
  • The Fireworks beta has a new user interface and meshes with the rest of Creative Suite 3. Fireworks, a Web graphics optimization tool, is now compatible with Adobe AIR, HTML, Adobe Flash and Adobe Flex Builder (notes).
  • Soundbooth’s beta includes multiple track support so you can edit audio clips in bunches. You can also match volume level across all audio files. And the best one–at least for those that transcribe interviews–is that Soundbooth has speech recognition technology to create transcripts quickly and search for words (notes).
