Intel CEO jams with Aerosmith...sort of
Intel CEO Craig Barrett (who is stepping up to Chairman in May this year) is known as a no-nonsense, professorial kind of high tech
company manager. But at CES he let loose with with Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler and actor/filmmaker Robert Redford to promote digital technologies (Intel processors) for music and film. Redford’s Sundance Film Festival will deliver the first movie via WiMAX (transmitting the bits from a computer in Oregon to a screen in Sundance, Utah), the up and coming fast, long-distance wireless standard.
