Apple extends MobileMe subs after rocky launch
Apple has extended MobileMe subscriptions for 30 days following a launch that was “a lot rockier” than the company expected.
On July 9, MobileMe, the replacement for .Mac accounts, had a rocky start. As a result, Apple said in an FAQ that it is “extending subscriptions by 30 days to customers free of charge to express our appreciation for their patience during the transition period.”
Folks eligible for the extension are .Mac members who had an active account as of July 9 and any new MobileMe customer that created an account on or before July 15 at 7 p.m. PDT.
Apple in its FAQ also addresses renewals and other MobileMe odds and ends.
