The mail service of MobileMe experienced a 2.5 hour outage this afternoon. Here’s the log entry from the support page:

System Status Recent History
8/11/2008, 13:00-15:30 PDT
MobileMe members were unable to access MobileMe Mail. Normal service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Just the latest example that this service remains, as Steve Jobs said a week ago, not up to Apple standards.
