In the next few weeks, CNET and CBS will be tag teaming the Democratic and Republican national conventions surfacing technology issues as they pop up.

Dan Farber has all the details and ways you can submit questions. Dan writes:

With the Democratic and Republican national conventions coming up in Denver and St. Paul in the next few weeks, we are planning our coverage across CNET News and CBSNews.com. (Being part of CBS has some nice advantages.) CNET News reporters Declan McCullagh, Stephanie Condon, and Kara Tsuboi will be on the scene, covering the tech policies and positions of the presidential and vice presidential candidates. In addition, they will be roaming the convention floors, interviewing delegates, politicians, and pundits on tech-related issues such as Net neutrality, Internet taxation, and privacy.

We’ll pick up the video as it comes down the pike and I may interject a few thoughts as needed. Honestly, I’m more interested in the IT behind these conventions. Remember Microsoft is using the Democratic National Convention as a showcase (more Silverlight video folks) and Google is running the technology behind the scenes of the Republican convention.

Disclosure: I’m registered independent.
