A Bluetooth speakerphone (for car/office/home) goes to the ZDNet reader who...
Now in our 11th week, ZDNet’s Deputy Product Tester of the Week program is a program where ZDNet’s audience members get free tech stuff for keeps and this week, I’m offering the 18th giveaway. For more information on how the program works and how you can participate, see the program’s original announcement and make sure you read the rules and regulations to keep our lawyers smiling. And now, here are the deets.
This week, I was going through the shelves and I spotted Spracht’s Aura Mobile BT sitting there in the box. You may have seen it featured in a video review I did earlier this year where I found that, for it’s price (approximately $150), it was a little steep compared to an alternative that had a different feature set. But looking back on that comparison, I thought that maybe ZDNet’s readers might see it differently. After all, I’m just one person with one opinion and the Aura Mobile BT is a bit more versatile than most Bluetooth speakerphones that I’ve seen.
In addition to being able to use it in your car where you might connect it wirelessly to a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone, it also comes with everything you need to connect it to a regular phone or to a PC. For example, when connecting it to a PC, it becomes a full-duplex speakerphone for VoIP apps like Skype. What? You’re PC doesn’t support Bluetooth? No problem. The Aura comes with a USB Bluetooth dongle (and maybe it can be used for other things….a good test idea).
So, who should the Aura Mobile BT go to? Use the comments area below to tell me why you should be the reader we send it to and by Friday of this week, you could be the next ZDNet Deputy Product Tester of the Week. Lastly, no e-mails please. To participate, you must use the comments area below. Thanks! One last thing… in the video above where I talk about the giveaway, I said the Aura Mobile BT is $160. That’s incorrect. I should have said $150.
