Nokia just released their “Ovi Store 101 for Developers” video. The Ovi Store, a one-stop-shop for mobile content, will use the combination of social connections and physical location, to make it easier for consumers to discover relevant content based on their current location and contacts. The Ovi Store consolidates the best experiences from Download!, MOSH and WidSets to a single channel.

This video walkthrough goes through the process of creating and distributing content and applications through the Ovi Store. It shows how developers can become a publisher on Ovi, submit content, and get access to Forum Nokia developer support tools, resources and much more.

The Ovi Store will open in May for free and paid items. It supports content in the following formats:

  • Flash Lite
  • Java
  • Symbian
  • Widgets
  • Wallpaper
  • Themes
  • Links

Some Nokia partners can also ship:

  • Audio
  • Video
  • Ringtones

Nokia will split revenue with the developer 70/30 (30% to Nokia). That’s the same percentage used by the Apple App Store and the Google Android Market.
