GUI editor for Google Web Toolkit
In a move that should hasten the adoption of the Google Web Toolkit (GWT), Wirelexsoft has announced VistaFei, an Eclipse-based visual IDE for Ajax web development using GWT. A beta version will be available for download on July 19th.
The first release of VistaFei provides a graphical Web UI Builder and a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) designer for GWT. A GUI builder for GWT is one of the most requested features on the Google Web Toolkit developer forum.
VistaFei integrates with the Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP) and can be customized to work with different browsers (for Mobile and Desktop), different screen sizes, and different underlying frameworks. The company claims that GWT applications will be able to run on Symbian’s S60 platform in addition to standard desktop browsers. Pricing for VistaFei has not yet been announced.
