Cisco grants Apple another extension
Hot off the presses:
Apple has asked Cisco for another extension on the deadline for Apple to respond to our lawsuit. Cisco has agreed to give Apple an extension until Wednesday, Feb. 21. Cisco is fully committed to using the extra time to reach a mutually beneficial resolution.
It's interesting that this extension is just for one week while the last one was for two weeks. However, it's hard to say whether this bodes well for a deal or not, given Apple's refusal to comment on the negotiations in any forum. Kudos to Cisco for talking much more openly about the issues, on their employee blogs and elsewhere.
