Sustainability is big concern for mobile telcos says head of Orange Mobile
I recently met with Olaf Swantee, the head of Orange Mobile, a large telco owned by France Telecom.
Mr Swantee said sustainability and the availability of spectrum were two key challenges.
Other highlights from the interview:
-WiMAX is not seen as a solution to spectrum issue.
-iPhone customers use about 90 MBytes of data per month compared with just 30 KB for regular customers, this is putting pressure on building larger data infrastructure.
