Coalition of the unwilling
Scott Mace reports that a group of Microsoftees were laughingly discussing how bandwidth hungry attention.xml is, and how humorous the idea is that they are being asked to support open access to our metadata. Dave Winer suggests no one is supporting attention, so why should Yahoo!? Yahoo!’s Scott Gatz still is waiting for users to "ask for it." Adam Bosworth remains silent in public about the plans for RSS and the Googleplex, much less supporting attention. O’Reilly Radar apparently doesn’t recognize the issue in its coverage of either Supernova or Gnomedex. If the tree falls and no one’s listening.

The news on synchronization is much better. Everybody in the room raised a glass for synchronization of RSS data across the Network and between multiple servers and clients. Scott Rafer just came over and asked me if I knew what comes next. Sure I do.
