Google releases new beta version of Chrome
Do you like Chrome? If so, and you find yourself wanting more frequent updates to the browser, you may now have a solution.
Google has released a new “BETA” channel for the browser that promises to be updated more frequently, and give you access to features that most people haven’t seen yet.
If you are really looking for some bleeding edge stuff, you can always subscribe to the developer channel — though releases on that channel may be a bit too early for most people to handle.
Switching to the dev channel is extremely easy — just install it using this link. Next time you launch Chrome, you will be on the channel you chose.
Getting on the beta channel means your version of Google Chrome will regularly get updated with new speed enhancements, features, and bug fixes before most users see them. We’re doing our best to quickly churn out new features as they are available rather than saving them up for occasional major releases.
The new beta version touts a much faster javascript engine (V8) and several bug fixes. Give it a try, and let me know what you think in the Talk Back!
