Turning the map Green
Google is a "Green" company — they care about the environment and now are they getting ready to create their own Green Map? According to the official website, the Green Map System is a locally adaptable, globally shared framework for environmental mapmaking — sounds like something Google would do doesn’t it?
Green maps are designed to show eco and cultural resources using a standard set of icons that help identify the links between nature and society.
What do I base this on? On May 17th, two days ago, Google registered a bunch of new domains that suggest they are doing something along these lines. The domains are googlegreenmaps.com/net/org/info and greenmapsgoogle.com/net/org/info.
